Abstract
Topological indices are mathematical numbers obtained from the molecular graph structure, which characterize properties of the molecules, such as their branched, symmetric, and connected structure. Topological indices have considerable importance in Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) and quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) studies, which allow the prediction of the properties of the molecule without performing laborious experiments. In this paper, we introduce a new topological index called the Multiplicative Euclidean Reciprocal Index (ERI), which is the square root of the sum of reciprocals of squared degrees of adjacent nodes for all edges in the molecular graph.
