In this paper, Fuzzy interval method is proposed to find an optimal solution for an intuitionistic fuzzy assignment problem. The fuzzy objective functions have fuzzy demand and supply coefficients, which are represented as an intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. The solution procedure is illustrated with a numerical example. The genetic algorithm can serve as an important tool for the decision making.
